The meeting will be a workshop on “AN INTRODUCTION TO DOCUMENTARY
BUDGETING”. It will look at what makes documentaries expensive, and it
will include a detailed line item analysis of a sample budget. The
workshop will be geared towards independent filmmakers who need to use
a flexible approach for projects that are still evolving. It will
include detailed guidance about many aspects of preparing a budget and
seek to demystify the budgeting process while empowering participants
to use a budget as part of proactively managing the creative process
of production.
Robert Bahar, award-winning director and co-founder of Doculink, will
