I'm happy to report a couple of articles about Manna from Hades, my first Cornish Mystery. One is in the Hollywood Times, which I think is just online:

This one is  also in the British Weekly.

Of course the very  name of Hollywood arouses hopes!  However, they did an article on Black Ship, and I haven't had a call from a producer yet :-(

The other is in a Northwest newsletter-type magazine, the Cornish Crier, voice of the Cornish Heritage SocietyBut the article has is slanted towards people of Cornish heritage, which is interesting, so I thought I'd post it here, with a caveat: Megan's name is Pencarrow, not Penhallow!  (and of course Daisy's husband is Alec, but an awful lot of people seem to misread it.

Manna from Hades - A Cornish mystery
by Carola Dunn
Strictly for mystery fans:
Moving on from her popular Daisy Dalrymple series, Dunn changes the time from the 1920s
to the 1960s, the characters from Daisy, the amateur detective and Alex, her husband, the Scotland Yard
homicide detective to Eleanor and Megan.
Dunn introduces a new series with Eleanor Trewynn, who has traveled around the world with
her husband for charitable organizations and her niece, Detective Sergeant Megan Penhallow of
CaRaDOC, (the Constabulary of the Royal Duchy) who was ‘born and bred in the Duchy’.
D.S. Penhallow’s nemesis is D.I. Scumble, an outsider who thinks women should not drive
cars, be hired by police and especially not be working for him as his D.S.
This story takes place in the fictional village of Port Mabyn, on the north Cornwall shore. And it is unlike other novels I
have read about Cornwall which portray the local Cornish as dumb, dimwitted people. The local Cornish are just regular folks.
Even the local village bobby is keen and aware of his local responsibilities. The rest of the detective force find Cornish ways of
annoying the ‘outsider’ D.I. with their Cornish dialect.
And since Eleanor and Megan are the lead characters, they, Eleanor Trewwynn and DS Penhallow solve the mystery.
As she states on her web site that she is making this a series, I am looking forward to her next book.
A Proper Job!

And here, because I have to put in a picture and you've probably seen the cover of Manna already, is a wild rose for everyone.
