Manchester City will offer Elano plus £10m for the Brazil right back at Inter Milan.

The midfielder has emerged as a target for Sunderland but Harry Redknapp does not want to sell.

Gary's verdict: There are conflicting tales about whether Tottenham want to keep Huddlestone. Fulham like him, too. 5/10

Blues on top in Jonjo chase - Daily Mirror

Chelsea are favourites to sign Jonjo Shelvey, the £3m-rated teenager, from Charlton.

Gary's verdict: He's a very promising, bustling forward but would be better served at a mid-table Premier League team to gain experience. 5/10

Hodgson eyes Sidwell swoop - Daily Mirror

Fulham are tracking the Aston Villa midfielder and are also interested in Gary O'Neil, the Middlesbrough midfielder.

Gary's verdict: O'Neil wants to move south for personal reasons, but a return to Portsmouth may be more likely. Villa have lost Barry, so probably won’t let Sidwell go yet. 6/10
