In this role you will be a stand alone portal developer, administrator, portlet developer in Java, systems admin, business analyst and company technology evangelist! This is a one man show job and requires someone first to be a strong communicator and second an equally strong technologist in portal technologies and Portlet development.
The Portal Administrator will be solely responsible for a heterogeneous corporate computing environment. In general this position is responsible for the design, configuration, management, and support of the enterprise Portal environment. This position will also provide support for the production, engineering, integration and implementation of new application infrastructure capabilities specifically related to Portal technologies. This position will also perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks required to support users and maximize business productivity. This position will also document server processes, policies, and procedures suggesting revisions or additions as appropriate and provide change, configuration, and release management for the production environment.
Additionally, 3+ years of demonstrated experience in IBM Websphere Portal development (Websphere 6.x preferred), including hands-on JSP, Java applets/portlets (JSR-168 standards), portal framework (skins, layouts, shells, themes), and familiarity with LDAP.
Development experience with web content management, web document management, forms, content tagging, search and personalization.
Other experience must include installing, configuring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting Web Servers (Apache), SSL and LDAP; Perl and shell scripting languages.
